Scholarship Information

The Martin and Margaret Israel Scholarship awards $1000 to an individual pursuing coursework, a license or a certificate in a field that will support those living with Fragile X syndrome and/or its related syndromes. The scholarship honors the work of Marty and Margaret Israel, founding members of the Fragile X Resource Center of Missouri (FXRCMO). They have dedicated their lives to supporting and helping those affected by or living with Fragile X.

Application

Qualified individuals must meet the following criteria:

     1. Applicants may be a resident from any state, but must be attending a University/College in the state of Missouri. Must be able to show proof of such. Coursework must be completed in the state of Missouri;

OR

        Applicants may be a resident of the state of Missouri attending a University/College either in state or out.

     2. Be enrolled in appropriate coursework, or degree program, no later than September 1st of the upcoming academic year.

     3. Be able to show proof of course completion with passing results no later than June 30, 2024.

     4. Be able to share a presentation with the FXRCMO Board regarding the scholarship’s impact and agree to let that presentation be shared via electronic media.

     5. Previous recipients are eligible to re-apply, but a priority consideration will be given to first time recipients.
